The
Carpinteria Lion's Park and Community Event Center is located
in the beautiful Carpinteria Valley, 80 miles up the coast
from Los Angeles and 12 miles south of Santa Barbara.
Visitors come to this peaceful seaside city to soak up
sunshine at the beach, or simply to enjoy the small town
pleasures, where tree-shaded streets, parades and craft shows
evoke a gentle way of life.
Nature smiles kindly on the
Carpinteria Valley, where fruit trees blanket the hillsides,
sandy beaches stretch in the sun, and daytime temperatures
range between 60 and 80 degrees. A variety of motels, quaint
bed and breakfasts, and fully-furnished beachfront rentals
welcome visitors to the Valley year round.
Carpinteria beaches have been
rated in the world’s Top 10 by “Dr. Beach” and enjoys
the reputation as one of the world’s safest. In 1769,
Spanish explorers found the native Chumash Indians crafting
redwood canoes on the beach and named the village “La
Carpinteria”--the carpenter’s shop. For more information
on Carpinteria, see www.carpchamber.org

Carpinteria.
